RENO, NV - Reno police are trying to figure how an infant died.
They say around ten Thursday morning, police, Reno firefighters and REMSA were called to West Hills Hospital after a father walked in with a baby girl in need of medical care.
The baby was rushed to Renown, then declared dead.
The Medical Examiner's Office took the baby to its office. Shortly after that, officials there thought they heard the baby breathe. They tried to save the baby, but again the child was declared dead.
It's unclear what caused the baby's death. Police say it is important to note that West Hills was not involved in any part of the incident other than the infant's father took her there seeking assistance.
Anyone with information is asked to call Reno Police or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
