Reno Police Arrest Man For Indoor Marijuana Grow

RENO, NV – Reno police have arrested a 20-year-old man for growing marijuana. According to police, officers were responding to a report of a possible prowler when they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from an outbuilding on the 3600 block of Everett Street on Tuesday, February 19th .

Officers got a search warrant to search the home after the residents didn't give them permission to enter. Officers found about 2.7 lbs of marijuana, 11.5 ggw of psilocybin mushrooms, three firearms, and an active indoor marijuana grow.

Detectives from the Regional Street Enforcement helped take down 26 marijuana plants in different stages of growth, several grow lights and electrical ballasts.

Thomas Maher was arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and possession of a controlled substance.
