Reno Man Killed in California Rollover

SIERRA COUNTY, CA - An 18-year-old Reno man is dead after a rollover in an unincorporated area of Sierra County.

The California Highway Patrol was called to the rollover Tuesday shortly before 6:30PM on Sierra County Road 860, just west of Stampede Meadows.

The CHP says 18-year-old Cory Neill of Truckee was driving too fast for conditions on the dirt/gravel road and lost control on a curve, rolling his pickup. The passenger, Andrew Metlenko, was thrown from the truck and killed. Investigators say he had not been wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators say alcohol was not a contributing factor to the collision.
