RENO, NV- Reno firefighters battled an early morning fire at an apartment building. The fire started before 2 Monday morning on the 2400 block of Newcastle Way. The fire was in one of the bedrooms. The fire was put out quickly, even though there was concern that the strong winds would spread the fire to nearby homes.

Two adults and a dog were home at the time of the fire. They all got out safely and no injuries were reported. The Red Cross was called in to help the victims find a place to stay. The cause of the fire is unknown.
