RENO, Nev. - The southbound off-ramp of Red Rock Road is back open after being closed for several hours because of a roll-over accident.
The Nevada Highway Patrol tells us the accident was reported at 4:19 a.m. near US 395.
According to the NHP, the vehicle was headed southbound on 395 when the driver drifted into the center median. He overcorrected and rolled down the embankment.
There was a teenage boy inside the car. Troopers say early reports of the teen being ejected from the car are unconfirmed, but they don't believe he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The driver walked to a nearby gas station to call for help. When ambulances arrived, both the man and teenager were alert and walking around.
Both were transported to Renown and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Two dogs were also in the car and were injured. NHP says they were taken to the Humane Society and are being treated.
NHP is still investigating the crash.
