RENO, Nev.— The Tacoma Rainiers put in a complete team effort Tuesday night at Aces Ballpark, and came out of the series opener with a 7-0 victory over the Reno Aces.
Jordan Pries, Stephen Pryor, and Logan Bawcom combined for the shutout for the Rainiers. Pries went five innings and scattered five hits to get the win, his second of the season.
Tacoma didn’t waste any time getting on the board in the top of the first. Leadoff hitter Abraham Almonte walked, and eventually came around to score on a Nick Franklin single to left field.
The Rainiers added to their lead with two runs in the fourth, sixth and eighth innings to push their advantage to seven.
The Aces’ best chances to score came in the fourth and fifth innings, but the team left runners stranded at first and third on both occasions.

Didi Gregorius and Nick Evans each went 2-for-4 for the Aces, who were held to seven hits in the game.
