RENO, NV - Reno's MIX 100.9 FM launched 'Hot Sauce for the Troops,' a donation drive that aims to collect hot sauce and other condiments for troops stationed overseas.

A.J. Miller with MIX 100.9 says the drive began on April 14, 2014, after MIX Morning's host Alex P. and afternoon personality A.J. noticed hot sauce was a common item listed on troops' wish lists.

He says the goal of 'Hot Sauce for the Troops' is to receive packets of hot sauce from members of the community, and then ship them to Northern Nevada's military units stationed overseas in war zones.

Packets of hot sauce, and other condiments, can be donated any time before May 16, 2014. People can drop off donations to the donation bin at the Wilks Broadcasting Offices at 300 E. Second Street, Suite 1400.

Miller says all donations must be in individual packets.
