Police Arrest Suspect in RPD Officer Hit-And-Run

RENO, NV - Police have arrested a suspect who fled the scene after striking a Reno Police motorcycle officer.

Police say Nathaniel Wall failed to reduce his speed while driving through congested traffic and struck the motorcycle of Officer Guy Cooper, a 17-year-veteran of the Reno Police Department.

Law enforcement personnel from a number of agencies collaborated to locate Wall. He has been charged with several offenses including leaving the scene of an injury accident- a felony-and is in custody at the Washoe County Detention Facility with a total bail amount of $24,025.

Officer Cooper was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center and treated for his injuries. He was released and is recovering at home.
