Reno, Nev. – The City of Reno is planning a public memorial to honor the victims of Friday’s tragic crash at the Reno Air Races that killed 11 people.
The memorial service is an opportunity for the community to begin healing, says a representative from the City of Reno.
It will be held on Sunday, September 25th at 6 p.m. at Idlewild Park at the Arboretum, located at the East end of the park between the pond and the Truckee River.
The City will be dedicating a tree to the victims, as well as holding a candle light vigil. There will be a large banner for the public to sign.
Clergy members representing diverse religious groups will lead the ceremony, along with Reno Mayor Bob Cashell.
Everyone is invited to attend.
There is public parking at Idlewild Park, and on neighboring streets. People can also park at Reno High School, and RTC will provide a free shuttle to the park.

what ever news I want I we dont have cable...can watch whatever news I want on line and netflix streaming is great...television, movies and documentarys worth watching, best of all not commercials. best thing we did was get away from main stream media.
In extra honor of those victims, please stop showing, time and time again, that horrific crash. It repeated half a dozen times in one KOLO newscast alone. Sorry, but I find that sickening.
