KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Police say the parents of a missing 10-month-old Missouri girl are no longer cooperating with authorities.

Kansas City police Capt. Steve Young made that statement at a news conference Thursday evening.

Investigators have no suspects and few solid leads despite an intensive search for Lisa Irwin. Her parents say she was snatched from her crib sometime Monday night or early Tuesday.

Earlier Thursday, the child's parents, Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, described how they frantically searched their home for any
sign of their daughter but found only an open window, an unlocked
front door and house lights blazing.

The family's three cellphones, including one that didn't work, also were missing, the couple said during a tearful news conference Thursday morning.

what you must understand is that with police, everything you say will be used against you. Pray things like this never happen to you, because you will be the prime, and often only, suspect. It is so easy for police to blame parents rather than actually/fully investigate. While it's true that far too many times the parents are really the culprits, any lawyer, even fresh out of law school, would advise any parent to stop continually making statements to police. why? because when distraught, you won't always clearly remember facts or what you may have said. Then, when making revised statements, police will simply focus on the "changes in your story." These parents are within all legal and ethical right to not say any more.
