RENO, NV - A woman discovers what she thinks might be a child's body on the side of the road and leaves the crime scene with a cop that stopped to assist. Problem is, Reno police have no record of this incident.
It happened Sunday, July 17, when a woman reported locating a dead child wrapped in a blanket on the side of the road along North Hills Blvd south of Buck Drive while she was driving.
She told police that while she was investigating a black mid-2000's Dodge Charger with a 10-12" horizontal white stripe stopped to help. It was driven by a bald white male, about 5'10", heavy build with a brown mustache. He was reportedly wearing a blue uniform of some sort, but without a badge. She spoke with this individual who told her she could leave.
Later that evening she questioned whether this person was a law enforcement officer or not so she called RPD Dispatch, who had no record of this call.
RPD Patrol units went back to the area but were unable to locate anything.
None of the other local law enforcement agencies report having a missing child. RPD Detectives and Washoe County Search and Rescue searched the nearby fields but did not locate anything substantial.
RPD Detectives are asking the public for assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the above vehicle in the area or may have observed a silver mid-2000's Honda Accord pulled to the side of the road on Sunday shortly after noon.
Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Reno Police Department Robbery/Homicide unit at 334-2188 or remain anonymous by calling Secret Witness at 322-4900.

It sounds like a security guard of some kind. They do have uniforms and sometimes a security patrol car. I've seen guards at many places who look extremely creepy. I once had a friend who had a criminal record, and he was able to get a job as a security guard. The company who hired him said they did background checks. But since that is costs money, they really didn't do it. They just said they did.
It does sound kinda fishy..
You know, i really hate to call people liars without some backup, but this whole thign sounds like someone looking for attention. a black charger with a white stripe and a mysterious uniformned man without a badge? Come on, is it a CIA coverup now?
