Police Need Help Identifying Serial Robber

RENO, Nev. - Police have few leads in identifying the man responsible for holding up a U-Swirl in NW Reno and possibly other small shops.

Police are still searching for a man responsible for holding up the U-Swirl on Mae Anne earlier this month but now believe he hay have hit 2 other small shops in Reno and another in California.

The last place the man robbed according to police was the U-Swirl at 5115 Mae Anne Ave. He told the clerk this was a robbery and threatened to shoot the clerk if he didn't empty the cash register. Witnesses told police they never saw a weapon.

He was next seen running for the Wal-Mart across the parking lot.

Police now say he is possibly the same man that robbed the Cold Stone Creamery at 299 E. Plumb Lane and the Subway at 1605 E. 2nd St.

The robberies have occurred in the afternoon hours on varying days of the week. In one of the robberies the suspect was driving a stolen Gold 2006 Chevy Avalanche California Lic. 8J29755 from Walnut Creek, California. The suspect is believed to have committed at least one more robbery in Roseville.

Witnesses say the robber is white and in his thirties, about 5’7” tall and weighing around 180lbs. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black sweatshirt with a zippered collar, khaki shorts, and white/black athletic shoes.
