Suspect in Saturday's Drive-By Shooting Arrested

RENO, NV - Police have arrested a suspect in a drive-by shooting that occurred on Saturday.

Reno police arrested Quinzale Mason, age 31, on charges of battery with a deadly weapon after officers and detectives conducted surveillance which led them to the suspect on Sunday.

Police say that at noon Saturday, officers responded to reports of shooting on Patton Drive. Mason is suspected of firing numerous gunshots toward another male, but ultimately missing each of his shots. Several other citizens were in the area, and a woman and her 4-year-old daughter were struck in the crossfire. They both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released the identities of the victims.

The suspect has been charged with two counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon
