FBI Investigating Carson Tribal Shooting

CARSON CITY, Nev. - The FBI is investigating a shooting on Washoe tribal land in Carson City that happened Thursday night.

Carson Sheriff Ken Furlong tells KOLO 8 News Now about 8:30PM on Oneida Street, two men, apparently brothers, fought. One pulled a handgun and shot the other in the chest.

The victim was flown to Renown in Reno for treatment. The accused shooter, James Painter, was arrested and is temporarily being held at the Washoe County Jail in Reno.
