Police Investigate Hot Prowl Burglaries in SW Reno

RENO, NV - Reno police are investigating two hot prowl burglaries from early Thursday.

Police say between 1 and 3AM, officers responded to two hot prowl burglaries in the 1700 block of Wendy Way and 900 block of Maplewood Drive. The burglar entered the residence by a window and door, but ran when confronted by the residents. A vehicle was heard speeding out of the area.

The burglar was described as a man, 5’9-5’11 with medium build with short hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Hot prowl burglaries are residential burglaries that happen while residents are home. Reno police remind residents to keep their windows and doors locked, including main doors between garage and home, and report all suspicious activity immediately.
