Police Arrest Suspect in Grocery Store Bank Robberies

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police detectives have arrested a man they say robbed two banks that operated inside Sparks grocery stores.

Justin Ray Helleson, 42, is accused of robbing two Sparks banks about two weeks apart. Police say Helleson robbed the US Bank inside Raley's on 2389 Wingfield Hills Dr. on July 14. Helleson then waited until August 1 to rob another US Bank, this time located inside the Safeway at 2858 Vista Blvd.

After gaining information that Helleson was a potential suspect, police put him under surveillance.

Helleson has been charged with two counts of Robbery with the Use of a Deadly Weapon.
