Pack Basketball Gets Verbal Commitment

RENO, Nev. - Junior College center Lucas Stivrins has given his verbal commitment to sign with the Wolf Pack.

Chris Murray of the RGJ is reporting that Stivrins plans to sign with Nevada when the signing period opens on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-11, 200 pound Stivrins is a freshman center at Pratt Community College in Kansas. He averaged 5.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season.

Stivrins had also gotten interest from Tulsa, Colorado and Saint Louis.

He joins a three-man recruiting class, including D.J. Fenner (Seattle Prep) and forward A.J. West (Monroe Junior College in New York.)

Fenner, a 6-foot-6 guard, was the Washington State Player of the Year, averaging 27 points per game. The 6-foot-9 West led the country in blocked shots

The Wolf Pack now has two scholarships available that they can fill for next season.
