WINNEMUCCA, NV - A couple from Oregon was killed and two others injured in a single vehicle rollover on SR-140 near Winnemucca.

The Nevada Highway Patrol tells us the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. They say a 2005 Chevy Avalanche pickup was heading north on SR140 when the truck drifted off the road and hit a road marker.

The driver, a 16-year-old girl, tried to correct the truck but caused it to rotate in a counter-clockwise direction and cross over to the southbound lane.

The driver again tried to correct the truck, which caused it to roll.

The 16-year-old driver and another passenger, 19-year-old Milissa May, were both flown to Renown Hospital with serious injuries.

Two other passengers, 49-year-old Kendall May and 46-year-old Rebecca May were killed.

All four people were wearing seat belts, but troopers say Rebecca May's was not on properly and she was ejected from the vehicle.

This crash remains under investigation.
