Victim's Name Released in Deadly Gardnerville Shooting

GARDNERVILLE, NV - A Gardnerville woman is charged with open murder in connection with a homicide in Douglas County Monday morning.

Detectives say at 11:20AM, deputies responded to reports of shots being fired in the 1300 block of Toler Avenue in Gardnerville. 33-year-old Jason Thrift was found dead, shot once.

Thrift lived with the accused killer, 29-year-old Nicole Followill. She is being held without bail. Detectives are still working to determine the relationship between the two, but they say the killing followed some sort of dispute.
