CARSON CITY, NV - The Carson City Sheriff's Office has arrested a man believed to have broken into at least one house and stolen guns.

Sheriff Ken Furlong says a man broke into a house in the 500 block of Roundup Street, not far from 5th Street in Carson City, threatened to kill the homeowner and left with multiple weapons Monday.

He then drove to another area of town, abandoned his car, and took off on foot, making his way to Prison Hill.

Deputies scoured the region until Tuesday afternoon, when someone reported seeing a suspicious person near the 4300 block of Golden Eagle. Detectives found and arrested Brandon Peart, who so far is charged with eluding police while the investigation continues.

Deputies also confirm another house had been broken into around the same area in the 4000 block of Quinn Drive. They believe the two home burglaries are related.

Peart was believed to be armed and dangerous, because of the stolen guns.
