RENO, NV - The name of a man hit and killed by an off-duty NHP trooper has been released.

Reno police say 29-year-old Jacob Guillot-Stephen was walking or running across eastbound traffic on I-80 near John Ascuaga's Nugget shortly after 7PM Monday, October 29th. Police say witnesses have come forward to say they had to swerve to avoid the man. The trooper, in a personal car, hit the man in busy traffic.

Guillot-Stephen died at the scene.

Police say the driver hadn't been drinking or speeding, and faces no charges, and NHP Trooper Chuck Allen says he's not facing any administrative leave.
