LAS VEGAS (AP) - A report on illegal immigrants says Nevada has
the largest share of illegal workers in the nation, a population that has grown despite record unemployment.

The Pew Hispanic Center's annual report published Tuesday shows
roughly 10 percent of Nevada workers are illegal immigrants who are
not authorized by the federal government to work.

California's 1.85 million illegal workers are the largest in the nation, but they only represent 9.7 percent of the Golden State's work force.

Nevada also has the largest share of illegal immigrants at 7.2 percent. Only 3.7 percent of people in the United States are illegal immigrants.

Nevada's population of illegal workers was 9.4 percent in 2009.

The Silver State's unemployment rate has since climbed to 14.5 percent, the highest in the nation.

I'm sick and tried of pressing 1 for english. I think we should use e-verfiy and any employer that doesn't use it and gets caught employing a illegal, should get fined 100k for the first offense and prison for the 2nd. If a illegal has legal kids here, then 2 choices take them back to mexico or put them up for adoption. Ethier way deport the parents. Illegal is illegal. I believe we should have to show our id to vote. And if your are illegal and did or do try to vote, once found guilty hung by thier neck on the broder fence till they stop moving. Send a message to all other border hopers that hopefully be smart enough to heed.

What part of ILLEGAL do people NOT understand? We need to round up and deport every last one of them! NO AMNISTY! The savings in welfare, medical and other social welfare type service programs will pay for it. Just because some of their kids are born in the U.S.A. does NOT mean they can stay here. Yes, they are considered US citizens, but they should be sent back with their parents and when the kids become of legal age, then and only then, can they decide if they want to return to the U.S. LEGALLY! We need to make ENGLISH the OFFICIAL language of the United States of America! I'm sick and tired of being told I need to learn spanish in my own English speaking country. If they don't want to learn English, that's their problem and we should NOT bow down to them because of it. If they don't like it, they can go back to where ever they came from! We are NOT going to take it anymore! KICK THEM ALL OUT! CLOSE the borders and ENFORCE the closure! America is going BROKE because of the ILLEGALS!
