Students at twenty-four Washoe County schools participated in activities as part of Nevada Moves Day. Now in its fourth year, organizers said the event is to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
At Elizabeth Lenz Elementary School in Reno students did yoga, played frisbee and ran laps among other activities. Another school planned a park clean up.
"(It's) important so you can stay healthy and fit for the rest of your life and have a good life," a student said.
Organizers said Nevada Moves has grown substantially from the thirteen schools that held events four years ago.
