CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Candidates for Nevada political offices have been raising money and campaigning for months but the 2014 election cycle is about to kick into higher gear.

Candidate filing begins Monday and runs through March 14. Then it's on to Nevada's June 10 primary and the Nov. 4 general election

Six constitutional offices - governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, treasurer and controller - will be on the November ballot. All the incumbents except Gov. Brian Sandoval, a first-term Republican, are termed out. Sandoval has yet to draw any serious opposition from either within the GOP or the Democratic Party.

All 42 Nevada Assembly seats are up for grabs but Democratic control is not in question.

The drama comes in the Nevada Senate, where Republicans hope to retake the majority.
