Murder Suspect Back in Nevada

YERINGTON, NV - A California man is back in Nevada to face charges that he strangled his grandmother to death.

James Masterson has been charged with the murder of 72-year-old Peggy Herlacher at her Silver Springs home in late July. He was arrested in Sacramento a few days later, driving her car, with her jewelry and credit cards.

Her body was found weeks later, buried in a family member's backyard near Modesto.

Masterson is now booked in the Lyon County Jail. He will be arraigned later this week.
