RENO, NV - This is the first year Nevada State Bank has participated in the Denim Drive.

They have 20 branches across Nevada including Tonopah, Elko, Ely, which made this partnership ideal

“Nevada State Bank is spread out in 10 different counties in Northern Nevada and the partnership with Reno Rodeo Foundation, we encompass all of those counties and that money that is made there stays right there in that county,” says Debby Herman, regional manager with Nevada State Bank.

Each branch Herman says has on display denim pockets where customers can donate a dollar or more.

If you would like to donate find a drop off location here.
Money will go to purchase jeans, underwear or socks to kids in foster care.

“Our employees every Friday, through the rest of the year, we are having jeans days and they can come to work in jeans for $5. We donate that to the foundation for the cause,” says Herman.

At the Double Diamond Athletic Club donations are on display to show progress and inspire members to make a donation to the denim drive.

This is the third year for the club to participated in the denim drive.

The owner says he's visited the children at the Kids Kottage who don't have much---and appreciate even the little things.

“It sad, I wish there wasn't that large need but there really is. I didn't know that until we started partnering but there is a big need and a lot of kids in foster care and a lot in protective custody. They need that little bit of help and the holiday season is a great way to do it,” says Michael Shirley, owner of the Double Diamond Athletic Club.

Next Wednesday, many of us at KOLO 8 will be reporting live from various locations in Northern Nevada collecting jeans, socks, and underwear.
