Victim's Identified in Douglas County Plane Crash

UPDATE 3:26pm, April 22:
The victims of the small plane crash located in Douglas County on April 18, 2013 have been positively identified as Cory Paul Marble, 30 years old, of Reno, NV and Brittney Calane Hocking-Cangemi, 21 years old, of Gardnerville, NV.

April 19:
According a press release, at 2:20 pm the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue with the assistance from Lyon County Search and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff’s Helicopter (Raven) and Civil Air Patrol, have located the missing aircraft in the Pinenut Mountains in southern Douglas County.

The wreckage is located near Bald Mountain.

SAR personnel have examined the wreckage and confirmed there are two deceased persons present.

At this time DCSO personnel are in the process of recovering the bodies and securing the crash site.

Positive identification of the deceased is pending autopsy and notification of the next of kin.
