NIXON, Nev. - A memorial service is planned for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Chairman who passed away on Sunday.
The service will be held Tuesday, November 6 at 11am. It will be held at the Nixon Gym, in Nixon. The Tribe requests that donations be made to the Bank of America branch in Fernley in lieu of flowers. Donations should be made under the name "Wayne Burke". You can call the bank at 775-575-7717.
According to the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office, Chairman Wayne Burke died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
