Memorial Planned for Man Who Died in Sierra; Donations Needed

The family of Roderick Clifton is hoping to raise enough money to pay for his memorial service.

KOLO 8 News Now spoke with his brother-in-law, and he says the family still needs around $1500.00 to cover costs.
The service is Friday December 21st at 1:00 pm at Green Valley Church in Placerville, California.

Donations can be made to the Roderick Clifton Memorial Fund at Safe Credit Union, account #560649. Donations can also be sent to Safe Credit Union P.O. Box 1057, North Highlands, CA 95660.
Please make checks payable to the Roderick Clifton Memorial Fund and include the account number in the memo area.

Roderick Clifton and his Girlfriend Paula Lane became stuck in the snow on November 29th while driving to Gardnerville from Citrus Heights, California. After spending days looking for help, Paula was rescued and taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital.
Roderick's body was found several miles off Highway 88/89 in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
