RENO - Bishop Manogue junior football player Wes Farnsworth has given his verbal commitment to play at Nevada in 2015.

Farnsworth is a five-star recruit in long snapping; recruited by a handful of major college football programs.

His mother, Melissa, told KOLO-TV that Wes had made recruiting trips to Washington, Washington State, Oregon State, California and Ohio State over the last three weeks.

He had been offered scholarships from Washington, Cal, Ohio State and Nevada.

Farnsworth ultimately chose the Wolf Pack because he is excited about the program head coach Brian Polian is building up at Nevada. His mother says it is a firm commitment.

Farnsworth competed in the Rubio Long Snapping event down in Las Vegas earlier this year, finishing second overall out of about 270 players from around the country.

He plans to study sports medicine in college.
