Suspect in Carson Manhunt Arrested Near High School

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong confirms 31-year-old Edward Carroll was arrested Friday evening near Carson High School in connection with Thursday night's manhunt. He's charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, battery with a deadly weapon, eluding police, and obstructing a peace officer.


CARSON CITY, NV - A search is on in Carson City for a person who allegedly rammed a law enforcement vehicle Thursday evening, and took off.

Investigators told KOLO 8 it began as a traffic stop. The man was allegedly driving a stolen car at the time. Two females who were inside the car were arrested on drug and obstruction charges. They have been identified as 21-year-old Ebony Turnipseed and 26-year-old Nina Montalbano.

The man is described by deputies as Hispanic and around 5'11", and he may be bald.

Deputies have been searching in the area near Roop Street and Lone Mountain Cemetery.
