RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a man after a domestic violence investigation.
Around 11AM Sunday, police were called to Uplands Court on a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported her boyfriend, 41-year-old Brad Ross, had battered and strangled her. She didn't need medical treatment, but police found evidence agreeing with her story and arrested him.
Police also found evidence that Ross had been growing marijuana in his home, finding what they call a substantial amount of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Patrol officers with the assistance of Street Enforcement Team Detectives (SET) seized approximately 34 marijuana plants at different stages of growth, 10.8 lbs (gross weight) of useable marijuana, $1744.00 cash and cultivating equipment.
He is charged with Domestic Battery, Strangulation, Possession of a Controlled Substance: Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales, and Maintaining a Residence for Sales.
