Man Used Semi-Automatic Handgun in Robbery, Sheriff's Office Asking for Help

RENO, Nev. -- Washoe County Sheriff's officials are asking for help identifying and finding the person who used a gun to rob a convenience store in Sun Valley.

It happened just after 12:40am Sunday, January 13th at the Golden Gate Market on Sun Valley Blvd. and 2nd Avenue.

Sheriff's Officials say a man went into the store alone, walked up to the counter, pulled out a black, semi-automatic handgun and told the cashier to give him money. Once he had the cash, he ran out of the store and was last seen on the north side (2nd Ave. side) of the building.

Officials say the man was described as a white adult with a thin build. He was between about 5'5'' and 5'7'' and had a dark (brown or black) mustache. He was wearing a red knit beanie, a jacket with a black fleece lower part and a blue upper part (possibly nylon material), black knit glove, blue jeans and black sneakers.
