FERNLEY, NV - A 57-year-old bicyclist has died after a crash with a truck in Fernley, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Troopers say David Bertorch of Fernley was riding his bike without a helmet in front of a pickup near 855 East Main Street around 12:40 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013. The bicyclist and truck driver collided.
Bertroch was airlifted by Care Flight and flown to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, where he died. The truck driver, 52-year-old Carson Shockley of Fernley, isn't hurt.
No citations have been issued and no fault has been determined.
