Man Says Christmas Trees Were Stolen from Gardnerville Lot

DOUGLAS COUNTY -- Ken Ferguson says roughly 150 trees were stolen from his lot in Gardnerville Sunday night.

"It's hard to believe somebody at Christmas time would steal a Christmas tree it's supposed to be a joyful giving time not stealing," Ferguson said.

Ferguson said he has been selling Christmas trees for 45 years. He is known for giving away free trees to those in need.

"We have people we have gave to in the past come in and say: 'we have the money this year we are going to buy a tree from you this year because you took care of us last year,'" he said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
