RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a man accused of battery and false imprisonment against a female friend in her apartment.
38-year-old Roger Ratliff was arrested Sunday. He is booked on charges of first-degree kidnapping, battery to commit sexual assault on a victim over 16, robbery, burglary, false imprisonment, battery by strangulation and first-degree open and gross lewdness, as well as failure to obey a court order.
Police believe December 20, 2013, Ratliff broke into an apartment on the 300 block of East Grove Street. They think he choked the victim with his hands and held her against her will in the apartment, then tried to sexually assault her and stole her phone.
Total bail is set at $75,000.
