SPARKS, NV - A Sacramento man is arrested for kidnapping and assaulting his former girlfriend.

On Monday, December 30, 2013, around 4:10 p.m., the Sparks Police Department responded to a report of an ongoing domestic assault inside of a car in the drive-through of an In and Out Burger located at 280 Pyramid Way, according to an official with the Sparks Police Department.

The official says officers made contact with multiple witnesses and a female victim inside of the restaurant who identified Adam Felty as the suspect of a domestic assault.

Officers found Felty inside of his car in the drive-through. Officers contacted the suspect and detained him.

According to the official, Patrol Officers and Detectives learned that Felty had a long-term relationship which had recently been terminated by the victim.

Both lived in the Sacramento, California area.

The investigation revealed Felty abducted the victim from her home and drove her against her will to the Sparks area, according to the official. The victim made several attempts to jump from the car as it traveled on I-80.

The official says investigators learned the California Highway Patrol received multiple calls from witnesses who saw the assault and abduction as Felty's car traveled westbound. The official adds the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office received a missing person's report in which the victim was reported as missing/endangered after she made a distressed call to a friend while she was being kidnapped.

Once Felty entered the In and Out drive-through, the victim attempted to escape the car. The official says Felty stopped her from escaping by hitting her in the face numerous times and restraining her.

Eventually, the victim was able to free herself and sought safety inside of the restaurant, according to the official.

Felty was transported to the Washoe County Jail where he was booked for domestic battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping.
