Man Arrested For Murder After Domestic Dispute Escalates

LAS VEGAS, NV - A domestic disturbance has ended in the murder of a woman in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a call shortly after 6:15 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 from a person who said a woman may be dying at a nearby apartment.

Officers arrived at the residence and found an unresponsive woman who appeared to have been beaten. The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Division concluded the murder was the result of a domestic situation.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Marvin Moran in connection with the homicide. Moran has been charged with first degree murder and kidnapping and is being held in the Clark County Detention Center.

This is the 60th LVMPD homicide investigation for 2014.
