RENO, NV - Attempted sexual assault charges have been dropped against an organizer of a local charity.

Marcus Woods, who organizes the Cops vs. Robbers basketball tournament and toy drive, was arrested by the Reno Police Department in 2014. Police said he tried to stop a woman from leaving his residence and attempted to assault her.

But as the investigation progressed, he pleaded guilty to simple coercion, which is not a sex crime, and sentenced to 48-72 months, a sentence which was suspended. No other charges connected to the case are still a factor, and he is no longer in custody and has no charges pending.
