RENO, Nev.-The Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center is acting as an evacuation center for horses, as a result of the Washoe Drive Fire.
The Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center can house up to 400 horses in the stables on the east side of the Reno Rodeo Grounds. Please enter along Sutro Street at Gate 6. Evacuee information, please call 688-5751.
The Livestock Events Center will accept evacuated horses as long as it has room, and as long as animal control is available.
Another place is taking livestock affected by the fire located at All Creatures vet service, 6474 Bonde Lane. They are taking evacuated animals of any size.
