RENO -- Things have calmed down in a Reno neighborhood, after an intoxicated man startled neighbors Tuesday night.
Around 9pm, several Washoe County Sheriff's deputies were called out to the 3400 block of Lunsford Court, which is just north of the Huffaker Lane / Lakeside Drive intersection.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office received a distressed call from a family living in a home on Lunsford Court. The home was occupied by a mother and her two daughters, and they reported a strange man was banging on their front door aggressively, and the three thought the man at the door had a gun.
The woman's husband, who was not home at the time of the initial call, called the family's neighbor. At some point, the neighbor and the husband showed up to the home in question with their own personal handguns in order to protect the three females inside.
Initially, 15 separate WCSO cruisers responded to this incident.
Washoe County deputies arrested the man in question, and are trying to piece together exactly what happened. Deputies say there's no indication that he had a gun.
The man arrested is not being identified. He was charged with Public Intoxication.
