Frank Kight will be released from the hospital Monday night, according to a family member.

Kight and his ex-wife, Marilyn, were both on the sidelines and were "hit in their legs" while supporting daughter Amy Blomquist, an Outward Bound counselor, according to the family member.

The Washoe County School District confirms that Kight is a retired counselor, and the family member tells KOLO 8 News Now he is well-known as a former track coach at the middle school level.

The family member says Blomquist's mother, who no longer resides in northern Nevada, was out of surgery Monday afternoon. No further word on her condition.
