Judge: Murder Defendant Naso Can View Old Evidence

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) - A judge will allow a man charged with the decades-old murders of four prostitutes to view pantyhose removed from one of the victims 35 years ago.

The Marin Independent Journal reports that 78-year-old Joseph Naso will examine pantyhose taken off the body of Roxene Roggasch in 1977.

Naso, once a commercial photographer, is charged with murdering Roggasch, Carmen Colon, Pamela Parsons, and Tracy Tafoya. He has pleaded not guilty

Marin County prosecutors have said that DNA evidence tying Naso to Roggasch's murder was recovered from pantyhose used to strangle her.

Naso was arrested in 2010 after a routine probation search of his Reno, Nev. home discovered a collection of photos of undressed women who appeared dead or unconscious.

His capital trial is scheduled to begin in November.
