Police Find Driver in Hit-and-Run That Critically Hurt Pedestrian

RENO, NV -- Reno police think they have tracked the car and driver involved in a hit-and-run Sunday morning.

It happened at about 5:30AM in the 3800 block of S. Virginia Street, near the Atlantis. When officers got there, they found the pedestrian who was hit still unconscious lying in the road. The vehicle was already gone.

The victim, a man from Reno, was taken to a hospital and remains listed in critical condition.

Witness accounts helped police track the car and driver Monday, but there are no charges at this point, while police piece the incident together and ask questions. The driver's name hasn't been released.
