DOUGLAS COUNTY, NV - One person was killed and another flown to Renown Regional Medical Center Thursday morning after a head-on crash in Douglas County.

Shortly before 9:30AM, an F150 and a dune buggy headed toward each other at a blind curve hit each other on Sunrise Pass, about two miles east of Johnson Lane. Investigators say both drivers were speeding. The driver of the dune buggy, 19-year-old Daniel Palmer of Minden, was pronounced dead at the scene, with the passenger being flown to Reno. The two people in the truck are not seriously hurt.

Investigators say they don't have any evidence that anyone had been drinking, but they are still looking into the crash.
