Reno – Paul Mitchell Academy raised more than $5,000 during a Cut-A-Thon fundraiser for the family of Desiree Bragg, who was run down by a suspected DUI driver in January.

Bragg graduated from the school in December and is described as a wonderful, friendly, no nonsense student. Organizers held the fundraiser to help provide for Bragg’s 6 month old son, Tristan.

Stylists gave up to 15 haircuts at the Paul Mitchell School on Holcomb Ave. The Monday fundraiser brought in numerous customers. Some didn't even want a haircut, they just donated money.

The final total was $5020 raised for the family.
