CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A Nevada Army National Guardsman
wounded four months ago in the deadly IHOP shooting in Carson City
has re-enlisted.
Sgt. 1st Class Jeremy Mock was sworn in Friday afternoon on the steps of the state Capitol. Gov. Brian Sandoval will administer the oath
of enlistment.
Mock was among five Nevada guardsmen shot when Eduardo Sencion stormed the restaurant with an assault rifle on Sept. 6. Three
guardsmen and a South Lake Tahoe woman were killed in the melee
before Sencion shot himself and died in the parking lot.
Seven people were injured, including Mock and another guard
member, Sgt. Caitlin Kelly.
Mock returned to work at the Nevada Guard on Jan. 3.
His wife, Stephanie, enlisted in the Nevada Air National Guard
shortly after the shootings.
