Great Basin Bottles Millionth Bottle at New Facility

RENO, NV - It's been less than a year since Great Basin Brewing Company started rolling out bottles at their Taps and Tanks facility on East McCarren. In just ten months, their high speed bottling line has packaged a million of their popular craft beers.

"This happened a lot faster than we thought it would," Great Basin owner and brewmaster Tom Young said. "But hey, we have a lot of thirsty people here in Nevada and we know Nevadans have discerning palates and really enjoy craft beer."

They've added extra tanks to the facility to keep up with demand and plan on stepping up production and distribution. Young says local support has played a key factor over the years.

"We have more than 450 contracts in Northern Nevada," Young said. "Grocery stores, liquor stores and lots of restaurants and we're very happy to have that kind of response in the community. We love this place and we hope everybody loves us too."

He says they plan on rolling out a canned version of their top-selling Icky IPA in the coming months.
