CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The governor and lieutenant governor have struck the newest line of medallions marking Nevada's 150th anniversary.

Gov. Brian Sandoval minted the first in the new series, which features a miner on the front and the Nevada sesquiscentennial logo on the back. Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki minted the second along with his daughter, Ellie, during the ceremony Wednesday in Carson City.

The first set of medallions depicted the Nevada state seal. A total of four designs will be produced.

One-ounce silver medallions are available for $100.50 each, while copper medallions of similar design are being sold for $15.

Medallions can be ordered at the Legislative Gift Store or through its website.

Sales of the medallions help fund the Nevada 150 events and yearlong celebration.
