'Give the Gift of Peace' Confronts Domestic Violence

RENO, NV - Jacksons Food Stores and the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence are taking a stand against domestic violence.

Yesterday, November 28, 2013, was the launch of Jacksons Food Stores and the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence's "Give the Gift of Peace Campaign." Officials say this marks the tenth year of the campaign.

Campaign officials say this is an effort to raise funds for the prevention of domestic violence. Officials say this campaign is important for community awareness and legislative efforts to ensure funding priorities for domestic violence victims.

For those wishing to make a contribution, visit any Jacksons Food Store and purchase a paper dove in the increment of either $1, $5, or $10.

The campaign will last until December 25, 2013. Officials say at the end of the campaign, Jacksons Chief Executive Officer will match Jacksons Food Stores customer contributions dollar for dollar up to $75,000.

All of the proceeds of this campaign will go to the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence, according to campaign officials.

A tax-deductible contribution can also be made directly to the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence by visiting its website.
